"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who makes things grow." (1 Corinthians 3:6-7)
Our theme this month at Catalyst Ministries is PLANTING.
We are thrilled to see God at work in the lives of the women we serve through the mission of Catalyst! As it has been from the beginning, we believe that it is God who makes things grow. We give Him all the glory!
Within this ministry, we are assigned tasks by the Lord. What a joy it is to know that we follow a risen Savior who has all authority and power over sin and death! Just as we recently celebrated Jesus’ resurrection from the dead, we know that He is alive and among us!
Witnessing survivors take life-giving “baby steps” toward a whole and healthy life is a real privilege for us, and it fuels us in this work. Working together with volunteers, staff, donors, and prayer warriors brings us great joy as we operate in unity and love, relying on the Lord for strength, guidance, and wisdom. For this reason, our theme of planting is so relevant this month.
We are literally planting a new garden with residents and team members, and we see baby plants growing with the help of sunshine and rain. We are also planting through new staff and volunteers joining our ranks, bringing their fresh ideas, skills, and enthusiasm to Catalyst Ministries teams. Moreover, we see God planting new hope and opportunities as He continues to make things grow!
Thank you to all who have stood with us in prayer and faithful giving over the years. You are true partners, making a difference alongside us!
Here’s a word from one of our new staff members, Rebecca:
"The women rescued at Catalyst are recklessly traumatized and broken by addictions. Proverbs 16:9 says, 'The heart of a man plans his ways, but the Lord orders his steps' (ESV). In 2024, I am trusting God to order my steps, and it has led me to the footsteps of Catalyst—life-changing ministries that bring women from darkness to light through the love of God."
