“Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage—to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous. If they do that, they’ll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life.” (1 Timothy 6:17)
Our theme this month at Catalyst Ministries is EDUCATION. As parents of school-age children prepare their kids for the important transition back to school, we’re also assisting some of our residents in starting classes this fall. For many of them, education has been an impossible struggle due to past trauma and chaos.
One resident shared, “They provided me with the time, support, and encouragement that enabled me to complete my education. They are invested in my personal development. This focus on growth is helping me plan for my future and explore my potential.”
How does access to education impact a survivor’s future? We believe that offering opportunities to complete a GED if needed, followed by college, creates a more secure future. These educational achievements pave the way for independence and dignity, opening doors to meaningful employment.
We are so thankful for the wonderful people who work on our teams at Catalyst, who help make these dreams possible!
If you’re a retired teacher or one with a heart to help inspire and encourage young women in their educational goals, please consider volunteering with us. Learn more at our next Volunteer Information Night.
Learning and growing with you!
