October Update
Our theme this month is Harvest! We are so excited at all that has been planted this year, all that’s been watered and what we are seeing HARVESTED! God is so good!
“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” (1 Corinthians 3:6)
Because of an army of volunteer staff and dedicated donors, we’ve seen our work with Catalyst Ministries grow, even in the midst of a pandemic. Only God.
I read recently in the book of Isaiah about people who are called the “Repairers of Broken Walls”. Those who care about justice and want to see the oppressed go free are written about here in these verses. Also, those who share their food with the hungry and provide shelter for the wanderer are mentioned as those who will be like a “well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” (Isaiah 58)
These verses so beautifully describe the kind of fast that God desires for His people. What He’s chosen for us, is that we represent His love and kindness to those who need it most.
I want to thank those who have worked so hard in the past month to help create a fantastic virtual fundraiser—the Be A Catalyst Dinner. We dedicate this month’s update to you. You’ve worked hard so others would understand the importance of reaching out to women who have been oppressed and broken through human trafficking. Your work has helped enable others to engage with us in this good work, through generous financial gifts, decisions to volunteer, and help in many exciting ways. Because of the work, generosity, and prayers of so many, hundreds gathered this past weekend, in homes and backyards to learn more…and to consider how they too may help become “Repairers of Broken Walls.” Thank you! You have helped bring a Harvest of Blessings to Catalyst!
