May Update

Happy May to you! A new season brings a thrill to us as we enjoy all the beautiful changes. Even the light changes as the days become longer and the fresh air invites us to open our windows and enjoy the freshness and warmth! We breathe it in and know this is a gift from God!

This month we celebrate our theme at Catalyst Ministries of Motherhood and Nurturing. Though our mission focus isn’t solely on motherhood, it’s something that comes into play often. Many of the women we serve are single moms with dreams to grow in their ability and future goals of reuniting with their children, as they grow and heal. Trauma and brokenness have stolen some time from them in their motherhood, and we’re thrilled to see God work in repairing and reuniting families.

We also hope to be like loving mothers as we work together as a team at Catalyst Ministries. 1 Thessalonians 2:7 is a New Testament scripture where Paul describes his ministry and those ministering with him. “But we behaved gently when we were among you, like a devoted mother tenderly caring for her own children.” This is our heart and desire at Catalyst, in our communication with each other and with the valued residents we work with.

We wish all the mothers a Happy Mother’s Day this month and to everyone a joyous May!

Please consider joining us for an upcoming event at either our Bloomington, IL or Dallas, TX location.* We’d love to have you involved in this important work we do. Perhaps you’ll engage with us as a volunteer, a donor, a prayer partner, or all three! We invite you to be involved in this exciting work and ministry with us! Your part matters!

With a full heart,

Julie
